Rada returns norm on determining wages for calculating pensions to law on compulsory pension insurance

The Verkhovna Rada has returned to the law on obligatory state pension insurance the norm, according to which a pension is calculated at the request of the applicant based on his wages (income) for any 60 consecutive months of insurance record in a row until June 30, 2000, regardless of interruptions.

Some 281 MPs voted for bill No. 3203 on amendments to Article 40 of the law of Ukraine on mandatory state pension insurance, which elaborates the procedure of determining wages for calculating pension.

The measure provides calculating pension, wages (income) for the entire period of the insurance record from July 1, 2000 at the request of the pensioner is taken into account if the certificate of wages is confirmed by primary documents, or if the insurance period, starting from July 1, 2000, is less than 60 months, wages (income) for any 60 consecutive months of insurance record in a row until June 30, 2000, regardless of interruptions.

This norm was abolished from January 1, 2016.
