ICRC in general contended with access of mission's access to Donbas, notes uneasy access to captives

The delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Ukraine has said that it is satisfied with an access, which has its representatives to the territories of Donbas.
"Last year there have been definite concerns over a possibility to cross certain points on the contact line, but this issue has already been settled. Sometimes, when the shelling occurs, we postpone or cancel our trips, but to a global extent I should say that we're satisfied with the access we've got," said Alain Aeschlimann, head of the ICRC's delegation in Ukraine, at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday adding that he means a global access.
"If talk on the access to the people captured in the course of the conflict – there are some problems over this issue. "For a moment, we're in talks and discussions for granting an access to all prisoners in the conflict, but no result so far," he said.
In a course of the press conference, Aeschlimann informed that during last year committee's representatives managed to visit nearly 580 persons kept in relation to the conflict in 35 places on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, meanwhile just four persons were visited on the territory beyond Ukraine's control.
