Kyiv court finds Saakashvili's allegations on tax evasion by Kolomoisky false - media

Kyiv's Podilsky District Court accommodated the legal claims by Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky against Odesa regional administration head and former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, declaring the allegations made by the latter that Kolomoisky participated in tax evasion to be false, Ukraine's Television News Service (TSN, '1+1' television) said.

The court ruled on December 14 to accommodate Kolomoisky's legal claims in full, the TV channel reported, citing former Dnipropetrovsk regional administration head Vadym Shevtsov.

"The court recognized the information distributed by Saakashvili on July 19, 2015, during the 'Studia 1+1' television's live broadcast titled 'TSN.Tyzhden' (back then, Saakashvili accused Kolomoisky of smuggling and tax evasion) as untrue and contradicting the reality," the TV channel said.

TSN published a copy of the court's ruling on its website.

The 1+1 TV channel is part of 1+1 Media, a media holding company owned by Kolomoisky.
