KYIV. Nov 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has proposed that the Ukrainian parliament should cut expenses on education from 10% of GDP to 7% of GDP.

The proposal is outlined in bill No. 3491 which was registered in the parliament on Thursday.

"The reduction of assignments is linked to the real economic situation in Ukraine, the potential reduction of the fiscal space and it is in line with real volumes of financing of education during the past 10 years," the explanatory note to the document states.
