Kyiv does not believe enemy's weaponry removal in Donbas

The Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE SMM) cannot confirm that weapons with a caliber of less than 100 millimeters have been removed by the enemy from the dividing line in Donbas, says Andriy Lysenko, a spokesman from the Ukrainian presidential administration.

"International monitors have not confirmed militants' allegations of their weaponry removal. One day OSCE SMM monitors, jointly with reporters, were monitoring the so-called removal of tanks, cannons and mortar launchers with a caliber of less than 100 millimeters. However, the monitors only saw three tanks and four IFVs (infantry fighting vehicles) being moved near Lozove and Novolaspa. The removal has not been confirmed," Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"The statistics of the events of the past few days demonstrate that allegations made by the leaders of the DPR (Donetsk People's Republic) gang of their withdrawal of heavy weapons are a cynical lie. Several civilians have been injured in the Maryinka district in the past few days. In particular, a car which travelled from Donetsk towards Kurakhove through a militant roadblock. The militants initially let the car through but then they fired mortars at its back, causing injuries to three car passengers," Lysenko said.
