Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has asked the Ukrainian side to arrange a meeting between the two governments in one of the border towns.

"We are asking you to arrange for such a meeting of our governments on the border of Ukraine and Slovakia," he said at a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk in Kyiv on Friday.

He noted that at this meeting they needed to discuss specific technical issues of various areas of bilateral relations.

Fico also announced Slovakia's intention to provide 100 Ukrainian students with scholarships at Slovakian universities.
