The Verkhovna Rada has ratified an agreement between Ukraine and Malaysia on sending Malaysian personnel to Ukraine due to the crash of the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter, 311 MPs voted for a respective decision on Tuesday.

The agreement, dated August 1, 2014, allows the Malaysian side, who lost 43 citizens in the plane crash, to join the international mission investigating the tragedy, together with representatives of Australia and the Netherlands.

Malaysian personnel will consist of representatives of civilian police, who will ensure the protection of the crash site.
