Two civilians killed, eight injured in Luhansk over past 24 hours - city authorities

Two civilians have been killed and another eight have been injured as a result of armed clashes in Luhansk over the past 24 hours, the press service of the Luhansk city administration reported on Friday, citing the local emergencies department.
A woman was killed and one more person was injured when a shell hit a residential building on Menzhynsky Street in Luhansk on July 3. A man died from a gunshot wound in the city as well.
Shells also damaged apartment buildings on Babushkin, Nesterov and Zemnukhov Streets, injuring seven people, who were subsequently admitted to the Luhansk Regional Hospital and the city's clinics No. 1 and 8.
In a separate development, three projectiles seriously damaged the building of the Luhansk region's cancer treatment center. No one was killed or injured in this incident.
A shell also crashed on the premises of Luhansk's school No. 7, blowing out several windows in the school building and a nearby house and damaging high-voltage electricity transmission lines. No one was killed or injured. Repairs have already been launched.
In another development, a power outage left 5,000 people in the dark after a local electrical substation was damaged as a result of fighting in the Kamyanobridsky and Zhovtnevy districts of the Luhansk region, the press service said.
All utilities and emergency services of Luhansk are operating normally, it said. Public transport is functioning and food stores, pharmacies and fueling stations are open in the city.
