Question of holding referendum on state system is political - justice minister
The question of holding an all-Ukrainian referendum on the country's state system simultaneously with the presidential elections on May 25 is political, and the decision to hold it will be made in parliament, Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko has said.
"This question is political. And this question will be resolved by the Verkhovna Rada, including as a way to stabilize the situation through the country," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.
Petrenko said that the idea of holding such a referendum simultaneously with presidential elections was related to the desire to save budget funds.
