The leaders of the opposition parliamentary factions Batkivschyna, UDAR, and Svododa, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Vitali Klitschko and Oleh Tiahnybok, have called for the resignation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov's government at a rally outside the cabinet building.

The leaders of the opposition stood between protesters and a cordon of the Berkut special police officers and called for the resignation of the current "anti-European" government, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent said.

The politicians also urged President Viktor Yanukovych to sign the association agreement with the European Union.
