Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak and European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule on Tuesday discussed the fulfillment of the European Union's conditions by Ukraine ahead of the Vilnius summit.

The speaker told the commissioner that during this plenary week the Ukrainian parliament would consider and adopt at second reading the bill on the prosecutor's office and the bill on amendments to the election legislation, which were passed at first reading last week, the Verkhovna Rada's press service reported.

Rybak also said that a working group was preparing an agreed bill on the possibility of the medical treatment of convicts abroad.

The speaker said that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych declared his readiness to sign the relevant law after parliament passed it.

He once again said that there was no alternative to Ukraine's European choice, and expressed the hope that the Association Agreement with the EU would be signed at the Vilnius summit.

As reported, Fule arrived at the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday.

Ukrainian lawmakers will not consider today bills that would allow former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko to be treated abroad.
