UDAR says government must report on its work last year

The UDAR parliamentary faction has called on Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov to report on the results of work of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2012 on January 11 during an hour of the government in the parliament.

The faction also suggested that the head of the social and economic departments of the government brief the parliamentarians on their plans to improve the current social and economic situation in the country. In particular, the faction said that First Vice Premier Serhiy Arbuzov, Income and Tax Minister Oleksandr Klymenko, Finance Minister Yuriy Kolobov, and Social Policy Minister Natalia Korolevska should report to parliament on their plans.

The UDAR faction has initiated a number of priority tasks aimed at the stabilization of the economic and social situation in Ukraine. In particular, the faction MPs have submitted a bill on the reduction of the single social tax rate, which could help to bring small and medium-sized businesses out of shadows.

UDAR has also drawn up a number of bills on the cancellation of MPs' benefits and on a single procedure for determining the sizes of pensions in Ukraine. According to the bill, the president of Ukraine, people's deputies and members of the Cabinet of Ministers should get pensions according to the procedure that is used for all of the other pensioners in the country.
