The Batkivschyna United Opposition claims it won 25.2% of the votes in the party ticket polls during Sunday's parliamentary elections in Ukraine.

The ruling Regions Party received 29.3%, UDAR 13.6%, the Communist Party 13% and Svoboda 10.12%, Batkivschyna election campaign coordinator Oleksandr Turchynov told a news conference in Kyiv, citing Batkivschyna's own independent vote counts.

"At the moment, the pro-government party is trying to change the results of voting reported by the majority of constituency election commissions," he said.

Turchynov said Batkivschyna was currently checking its own vote counts against those expected to be released by the Central Election Commission. "Any changes to the [vote] reports will undoubtedly be appealed," he said.
