At least four exit polls to be conducted on Election Day
At least four exit polls will be conducted on the day of parliamentary elections in Ukraine, according to sociologists.
Director of the Democratic Initiatives Foundation Iryna Bekeshkina said at a roundtable meeting entitled "Sociology in Parliamentary Elections" in Kyiv on Monday that the foundation would conduct a nationwide exit poll along with the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) and the Razumkov Center.
"We will hold an exit poll with two firms – KIIS and the Razumkov Center," she said, asking her colleagues who else would conduct exit polls on Election Day.
Director of the Rating Sociological Group Oleksiy Antypovych said that such a decision had been made.
President of Research & Branding Group Yevhen Kopatko said that the company would individually conduct its own exit poll.
Sociologists also reported that one more exit poll would be conducted by the Savik Shuster Studio.
Meanwhile, participants in the roundtable did not rule out that there could be more exit polls, as some sociological companies had not decided on this issue.
Deputy Director of GfK Ukraine Hleb Vyshlinsky said that GfK would not conduct an exit poll individually, but it would conduct it along with TNS Ukraine for TV channels.
The parliamentary elections in Ukraine are scheduled for October 28.
