Ukrzaliznytsia unifies price list for repair of private freight cars

JSC Ukrzaliznytsia has introduced unified planned prices for the repair of private freight cars, determined a clear list of works for overhaul and depot repairs: from now on, the cost of repairs, depending on its type and type of car, is from UAH 73,600 to UAH 112,000, the Ukrzaliznytsia press service reported on Telegram.

"These prices were set after a detailed market analysis, taking into account the cost of similar services at private repair companies. Ukrzaliznytsia also streamlined general production expenses to ensure the prices are economically justified and clear for customers," the company said.

Daniil Hluschenko, head of the Ukrzaliznytsia Wagon-Service branch, noted that previously the cost of repairs and the list of services varied by division.

"Now a single base price applies to all repair sites. This makes the process more transparent, allows wagon owners to plan repair costs in advance, and ensures they can work with Ukrzaliznytsia on fair market terms," he said.

Ukrzaliznytsia said the scope of major and depot repairs now includes work on wagon frames and bodies, bogies, wheelsets, as well as repair and testing of braking equipment.
