As a result of a missile strike by Russian occupiers on Monday, 28 residents of the city of Sumy were injured, including four children, said acting mayor Artem Kobzar.

"A missile strike on the city! Today the enemy attacked the residential sector and infrastructure facilities of the city, in particular children's hospitals. The number of wounded is known: 24 adults and four children," Kobzar wrote on Telegram.

According to him, all emergency services are working on the spot. "To provide assistance to the victims, headquarters will be set up in kindergartens No. 10 and No. 25," Kobzar added.

As reported, Russian occupiers launched a missile strike on the center of Sumy. Several multi-story residential buildings and a school were damaged. Head of the Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artiukh, reported that the children were in a protective structure during the strike and were not injured. Their evacuation is ongoing.
