The joint project of the largest mobile operator Kyivstar and the 1+1 media group, the OTT platform Kyivstar TV, is available on Xbox gaming consoles since January 2025, the company's press service reported.

Xbox users in Ukraine can download the Kyivstar TV application from the Microsoft Store.

It is reported that the platform interface on Xbox is identical to what Ukrainians are accustomed to using SMART TV, but the Kyivstar TV application is additionally adapted for gamepad-joystick control.

"This is an important step, because we strive to make our service available on all devices that are important to our users. I am sure that the ability to watch online TV, sports broadcasts, movies, series and cartoons directly on Xbox will make using our platform even more convenient, and console fans will not have to switch between devices," the press service quoted Tymur Zaidullin, head of the development and implementation department of Kyivstar TV.

It is reported that as of December 2024, the number of Xbox users in the world reached 200 million people. The brand is preferred by 40.86% of Ukrainians who use gaming consoles.

Earlier, it was reported that Kyivstar TV has become the second streaming platform in Ukraine in five years and maintains leadership ambitions. Tymur Zaidullin at a presentation dedicated to the fifth anniversary of Kyivstar TV announced the launch of a new sports channel, which will not be on cable networks, two new original series, and said that Kyivstar TV is considering cooperation with PlayStation and Xbox.
