Information about the presence of certain units of the Ukrainian defense forces in an operational encirclement in Makarivka, Donetsk region, which is spread in the media, does not correspond to reality, according to the press service of the Khortytsia Group of Operational and Strategic Forces.

"The information about encirclement of the Ukrainian defense forces in the settlement of Makarivka on the Vremiv axis, spread by the media, does not correspond to reality," it said on the Telegram channel Monday.

The Khortytsia Group stressed that the dissemination of unverified and unreliable information harms the performance of tasks by the Ukrainian defense forces, is actively disseminated by the information resources of the aggressor state and fully corresponds to the enemy's narratives.
