Ukrzaliznytsia to present its development strategy until 2030 drafted with Deloitte for public discussion
Ukrzaliznytsia, the monopoly state railway operator, is working together with the consulting company Deloitte on a development strategy until 2030, which it will present for public discussion within the next quarter, said Oleksandr Kamyshin, a member of the Ukrzaliznytsia supervisory board and advisor to the president on strategic issues.
"I want businesses to take part in its formation and then to understand where this industry is heading. Because Ukrzaliznytsia is not just a company, it is an industry. And therefore this strategy will be discussed publicly and adopted publicly," he said at the Infrastructure Day organized by the European Business Association in Kyiv this week.
Kamyshin also noted that together with the new team of the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, a bill on reforming the railway industry was introduced, which allocates seven years for this.
At the same time, according to the member of the Ukrzaliznytsia Supervisory Board, who recently headed the railway operator as the board chairman, the process of reforming Ukrzaliznytsia is still ongoing. He specified, in particular, that today the next step is to allocate the following two companies within the internal organizational structure of Ukrzaliznytsia.
"All the necessary work that needs to be done at the level of Ukrzaliznytsia in order to reform will be done," Kamyshin said.
He noted that he will be an active member of the Ukrzaliznytsia Supervisory Board.
"For me, the main focus is to return the pace of development of the railway and show everyone that the railway can move quickly and develop quickly," the presidential adviser on strategic issues emphasized.
