Servant of People faction agrees with Zelenskyy on 9 new ministerial candidates – Arakhamia

At a meeting of the Servant of the People faction with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, nine new ministerial candidates were agreed upon, and the candidacy of First Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha was proposed for the post of Foreign Minister.

"A faction meeting was held... The agenda included layoffs... President Volodymyr Zelenskyy joined us. Based on the results of the faction meeting, we developed a general picture of personnel rotations to strengthen the government: Foreign Ministry – Andriy Sybiha," leader of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia said in Telegram channel on Wednesday.

According to Arakhamia, the candidacy of Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Oleksiy Kuleba is proposed for the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Regional Policy. "He will head the ministry as it currently operates. Subsequently, as planned, it will be divided into areas of infrastructure and regional policy," Arakhamia said.

He also said Olha Stefanishyna is being proposed for the post of Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration – Minister of Justice.

They will propose appointing Deputy Minister of Defense Natalia Kalmykova for the post of Minister of Veterans' Affairs, and Deputy Head of the President's Office Mykola Tochytsky as Minister of Culture and Information Policy.

They intend to appoint acting Minister Matviy Bidny for the post of Minister of Youth and Sports.

According to Arakhamia, Deputy Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk is being proposed for the post of Minister of Ecology. The Ministry of Strategic Industries may be headed by CEO of JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry Herman Smetanin.

According to the head of the Servant of the People faction, Oleksandr Kamyshin is moving to the Presidential Office, where he will continue to deal with the issue of weapons and infrastructure.

In addition, Iryna Vereschuk is moving to the President's Office, who will work as the relevant deputy head of the President's Office.

"We discussed the creation of a new institute in the government with the working title 'the Ministry of Return of Ukrainians.' We are discussing candidates who could head it," Arakhamia said.
