A representative office of the Belgian Development Agency Enabel will open in Kyiv, it will help Ukrainian institutes and institutions restore and support the sustainability of critical and social infrastructure facilities, the press service of Kyiv City State Administration reports.

"The Belgians plan to help our state with the implementation of projects aimed at restoring and maintaining the sustainability of critical and social infrastructure facilities. In particular, through the implementation of comprehensive programs to upgrade heating systems, provide heat and equipment to medical, social and educational facilities," said First Deputy Chairman of Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk following a meeting with Enabel representatives.

Enabel will work directly with Ukrainian institutes and institutions in coordination with government agencies. The staff of the representative office is currently being formed, which will include Belgian and Ukrainian specialists.

The Belgian Development Agency implements the Belgian government's international cooperation programs. In cooperation with international partners, the agency offers solutions to urgent global problems such as climate change, urbanization, human mobility, peace and security, economic and social inequality. Enabel implements about 170 projects in 20 countries.
