Zelenskyy suggests extending law on social protection of military personnel to those who perform military duty on Russian territory
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposes to the Verkhovna Rada to expand the circle of persons covered by the law on social and legal protection of military personnel and their family members, including at the expense of Ukrainian citizens performing military duty on the territory of the aggressor state.
Relevant bill No. 11483 on amending Article 3 of the law "On social and legal protection of military personnel and members of their families" was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday, the parliament's website reports.
The Head of State suggests that social and legal protection should also apply to military personnel of the intelligence agency of the central executive authority implementing state policy in the field of state border protection, the State Special Communications and Information Protection Service and intelligence agencies – citizens of Ukraine performing military duty outside Ukraine, including on the territory of the aggressor state [the Russian Federation Federation].
