President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian military who take Russian occupiers prisoner and replenish the exchange fund, noting the particular effectiveness over the past three days.

"And I would like to separately thank those of our soldiers and our units that replenish the exchange fund – take occupiers prisoner and thus help to free our people from Russian captivity. This is extremely important and over the past three days – especially effective," he said in a video address following the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff Headquarters meeting on Friday.

The head of state emphasized the need to "return freedom to all our people who are now in Russian captivity."
