The Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) conducted an internal investigation in the Yakiv Handziuk's 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade.

"Work was carried out with unit commanders, personnel, an inspection of the decisions made and combat orders of the brigade command was carried out. In addition, issues of organizing the performance of combat missions were investigated. The working group conducting the inspection did not reveal any cases of issuing criminal orders. At the same time, individual facts of management decisions and factors that could negatively affect the progress of the military unit in performing combat missions were established," the Military Law Enforcement Service said on Facebook.

It is noted that in order to prevent such things from happening in the future, the AFU leadership has made appropriate decisions and taken a number of measures aimed at preventing such cases. Some officials of the brigade command have been brought to justice.

Earlier, a paramedic of the 59th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, defender of Azovstal Kateryna Polischuk (Ptashka) published an appeal to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy with a call to conduct an official investigation into the facts of criminal orders, deliberate negligence, disregard for the life and health of personnel, actions that led to the death of a large number of servicemen, including those from high leadership positions, as well as the elimination of all "unwanted" commanders, suppression of morale and humiliation of personnel by complete indifference to the main goal of the servicemen and him, as a commander in the war with the enemy.
