Yermak has call with Adviser to Indian PM on national security issues
Head of the President's Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, in a conversation with National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Ajit Kumar Doval, noted the importance of developing relations between countries, but also pointed out the need for a clear position regarding Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the path to a just world based on the Peace Formula.
"On the eve of the visit of the head of the Ukrainian state to the UK, the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak had a phone conversation with the National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Ajit Kumar Doval, which took place on the initiative of the Indian side," the presidential press service said in a statement on website on Thursday.
The interlocutors reportedly discussed the recent Russian massive shelling of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, in particular Okhmatdyt, one of the most important children's hospitals not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe. Yermak said Okhmatdyt rescues children with cancer, performs complex operations and recovers from serious injuries, and the attack on it was another manifestation of the terrorist methods of warfare on the part of the aggressor state.
"The head of the President's Office said it is important that relations between Ukraine and India develop. But at the same time, there must be a clear position regarding the Russian aggression against our country and the path to a just world based on the Peace Formula," the service said.
It is also noted that, according to Yermak, "India and in particular the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi can play an important role in achieving a just peace for Ukraine."
As reported by The Economic Times, India on July 15 summoned the Ukrainian ambassador to discuss President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's remarks about a meeting in Russia between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian ruler Vladimir Putin. "On Monday, India discussed with the Ukrainian Ambassador to India the remarks made by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Russia... This clearly indicates Delhi's dissatisfaction with Ukraine's position regarding Zelenskyy's comments to the Prime Minister," the publication said.
