Arricano shopping centers in Kyiv reach zero vacancy at end of 2023

Shopping and entertainment complexes of the developer and management company Arricano Real Estate Plc in Kyiv reached zero vacancy at the end of 2023, in regional shopping centers the figure was less than 1%, the company's press service reported.

According to its data, last year the company signed more than 60 lease agreements for 7,000 square meters, among the signatories are Comfy, Adidas, Megasport, Ukrzoloto and others.

"By the end of 2023, we are seeing an increase in demand in Kyiv projects, there is a waiting list. In general, Kyiv projects have demonstrated stability, and according to the results of 2023, the company received indicators at the level before a full-scale invasion. In regional facilities, taking into account the difficult situation with shelling, demand remains restrained but stable," Arricano CEO Anna Chubotina is quoted in the press release.

She indicated that the company plans to continue investing in updating and improving regional facilities, including strengthening them with popular brands. In addition, in the spring the developer will replace the anchor tenant - a grocery supermarket in the Sun Gallery shopping center in Kryvy Rih and the City Mall shopping center in Zaporizhia, reducing the area of the food category.

Arricano's capital properties are undergoing planned rotations to improve the performance of a number of tenants.

"We are planning to change the format of some current tenants, and also want to expand the category of clothing in the Prospekt shopping center, and in the RayON shopping center - household goods (both - Kyiv). There is a request from visitors for this," Chubotina said.

According to the developer, the shopping mall's attendance figures in 2023 exceeded forecasts and expectations: at the end of the year, Arricano shopping centers were visited by 23 million people, while in the capital's facilities in some months the figure reached pre-war levels.

According to the report, the company continues to restore the part of the Sun Gallery shopping and entertainment complex in Kryvy Rih damaged by shelling. Since February, work has resumed on that part of the shopping center that received minor damage; and repair work on the rest of the damaged area is planned to be completed as soon as possible.

Arricano also continues to implement the Lukianivka shopping center project in the capital. Work is planned for 2024 on the arrangement of utility networks, restoration of the building of an architectural monument on the territory of the facility, finalization of the concept and development strategy.
