Westinghouse expresses support for Ukraine
The American Westinghouse, which supplies fresh nuclear fuel to Ukrainian nuclear power plants, has once again expressed support for Ukraine on the anniversary of the start of Russian military aggression, Energoatom, a state-owned enterprise, reported on its Telegram channel on Monday.
"For exactly one year now, terrible aggression against the people of Ukraine has been going on. On this day, the Westinghouse team expresses its condolences and stands in solidarity with you. We proudly put Ukrainian flags at our global headquarters in Cranberry Township (Pennsylvania, the USA) in solidarity with Ukraine and recognition of its unwavering determination and resilience," Westinghouse Electric Company President and CEO Patrick Fragman wrote in a letter, quoted by Energoatom.
As he noted, the Westinghouse team is looking forward to new meetings with Ukrainian partners.
Westinghouse is a long-term partner of Energoatom.
"Energoatom has already begun the implementation of the project for the construction of the fifth and sixth units at the Khmelnytsky NPP, which is scheduled to be completed by 2029," the statement said.
