Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that since PrJSC Plant Kuznya on Rybalsky (Kyiv) plays a significant role in strengthening the defense capability of the state, its new owner must be domestic.

"Plant Kuznya on Rybalsky objectively plays a significant role in strengthening the defense capability of the state. I want to completely avoid conflict of interests and therefore let it have another owner. You understand why - in connection with the role in defense, the owner must be domestic," he stressed, speaking at the opening of the tenth international economic forum "Innovations. Investments. Kharkiv Initiatives!"

The press service of the shipyard reported on the plan to change the owner of the PrJSC Kuznya on Rybalsky on September 25. Later the information about the upcoming transaction was confirmed by press secretary of the president of Ukraine Sviatoslav Tseholko.

TAS Group of Sergiy Tigipko informed about the achievement of a preliminary agreement on the purchase of PrJSC Plant Kuznya on Rybalsky. The cost and timing of the completion of the deal were not disclosed.
