Dombrovskis to visit Ukraine to sign macro-financial assistance program on Sept 13-14
Vice President of the European Commission in charge of the Euro, Social Dialogue, Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union Valdis Dombrovskis on September 13-14 will visit Ukraine, where he will take part in signing a memorandum of understanding, in which the terms of the fourth EU macro-financial assistance program for Ukraine (MFA IV) for EUR1 billion will be fixed.
Valdis Dombrovskis in Kyiv, Ukraine (until September 14): taking part in the ceremony of signing the macro-financial assistance program (MFA), the European Commission said in a statement.
Dombrovskis will meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and acting Finance Minister Oksana Markarova.
In addition, he will participate in the forum of the Yalta European Strategy (YES).
A source in the government told Interfax-Ukraine the matter concerns the signing of a memorandum of understanding in which, in the framework of similar macro-financial assistance programs of the EU, the parties agree on the main terms of economic policy in support of which the funds are provided and the terms for their implementation.
