NBU continues studying documents of Paritetbank for purchase of Sberbank of Russia's subsidiary

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) continues studying a package of document for the approval of the acquisition of a large stake in public joint-stock company Sberbank (Kyiv) by Paritetbank (Belarus), the central bank has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"Now the documents received by the NBU for the approval of the acquisition of a large stake in Sberbank are being studied. The results of the study will be additionally presented to the public," the press service of the NBU said.

The NBU recalled that according to Article 34 of the law on banks and bank operations, the regulator can consider the relevant documents within three months from the moment of receiving them.

As reported, the NBU on December 21, 2017 received a package of documents from the Department of Presidential Affairs of Belarus for approval of acquisition of 100% of the charter capital of public joint-stock company Sberbank (Kyiv) via JSC Paritetbank.
