British Vodafone Group Plc has not forwarded claims against Vodafone Ukraine mobile communications operator for its operation in the areas that are not under control of the Ukrainian government in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

"[Vodafone Group] have not forwarded any claims against our work. Everyone understands how we work there and that in fact, this is more like humanitarian mission than doing business," Director for Corporate Management and Control at Vodafone Ukraine Oleh Prozhyvalsky told Interfax-Ukraine.

He said that the conditions of work in these areas are coordinated with the public agencies of Ukraine.

"We are operating remotely. We do not carry out any work directly, while our contractors could carry out repair if it is required under an agreement with all sides," Prozhyvalsky said.

He said that according to the agreement signed with Vodafone Group, the Ukrainian operator does not have the right to work in these areas under the Vodafone brand.

He said that the operator is working on the transfer of subscribers to the non-branded tariffs with daily and monthly payments, as all MTS-Ukraine tariffs will be closed in the first quarter of 2018.
