Ambassador of Spain to Ukraine Gerardo Bugallo Ottone thinks that the fight against corruption in Ukraine should become the key among the reforms.

"This is the key to everything - the fight against corruption. When corruption is over, and Ukraine has the rule of law, then it will be perfectly clear that this is a 100% defeat [of Russia]," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The diplomat stressed that after the corruption in Ukraine is over, foreign investors will be able to come to the country.

In addition, according to him, Western countries should support the Ukrainian state on the path to reforms: "On the part of the West ... It should help Ukraine in the fight against corruption and support it from a military point of view, so that Russia could see that a new adventure will fail."

The ambassador also noted that only economically strong, free of corruption, possessing a strong army Ukraine would be able to resist Russia. Therefore, in his opinion, Ukraine must strengthen its Armed Forces.
