Vodafone Ukraine posts 11.2% rise in revenues in Q3, 2016

Vodafone Ukraine mobile operator (PrJSC MTS Ukraine) in July-September 2016 saw revenues rise by 11.2% compared to the same period of 2015, to UAH 2.86 billion.

According to the operator, the number of Vodafone Ukraine subscribers as of the end of September reached 20.8 million people. Growth over the year was 2.7%, or 500,000 users.

"The main growth factors were universal Voice & Data Vodafone Red tariffs for voice and data transmission and 3G coverage, making 3G services from Vodafone available for half of the country's population. By the end of 2016 the geographical coverage of the 3G network will be 54%," the report said.

The volume of voice services use is stable, while use of data services for the year increased by 2.6 times. The total number of data service users in the Vodafone Ukraine network today exceeds 9 million people, of whom 7 million use 3G mobile Internet.

According to the company, its net profit for the third quarter decreased by 21.3% compared to the same period in 2015, to UAH 448 million. At the same time, OIBDA grew by 2.1%, to UAH 1.07 billion.
