Kyiv's court of appeals on October 5 did not satisfy a counterclaim of former owner of Delta Bank Mykola Lahun and upheld the ruling of Kyiv's Pechersky district court dated March 12, 2016, according to which Lahun as a guarantor of Delta Bank's liabilities related to opened correspondent accounts was to pay UAH 948 million, $111.8 million and EUR 12.45 million (UAH 4.2 billion in equivalent) to state-run Oschadbank.

The court did not satisfy Lahun's counterclaim where he asked to void the guarantee agreement dated November 6, 2014 under Delta Bank's liabilities to Oschadbank.

As reported, temporary administration was introduced to Delta Bank on March 3, 2015 and the decision to liquidate the bank was made by the National Bank of Ukraine on October 2, 2015.

The largest shareholders in the bank as of early 2015 were Lahun (70.6059%) and Cargill Financial Services International, Inc. (29.3941%).
