The Ministry of Health plans to sign a memorandum with the Lokman Hekim network of private clinics (Turkey) on treatment of Ukrainians abroad in the framework of the relevant state program.

According to the Health Ministry's press service, the agreement was achieved at a meeting of the commission on referral to treatment abroad, headed by Deputy Minister Roman Ilyk, with representatives of the Lokman Hekim chain of clinics and the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Ukraine.

Lokman Hekim clinics, in particular, can provide services for treatment of oncology, pediatric oncology and hematology.

"Turkish colleagues proposed a flexible system of discounts in case of establishment of bilateral cooperation," the press service said.

Ilyk initiated the signing of a bilateral document on cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the network of these clinics.

Citizens of Ukraine will be sent for treatment abroad in case of a failure of providing relevant treatment in the country's health institutions. These are mainly patients with hematologic, oncologic, neurosurgical, cardiac surgical diseases and congenital malformations.
