Vodafone Ukraine sees 5.6% decline in net profit in 2015

Vodafone Ukraine (PrJSC MTS Ukraine) saw a 5.6% decline in net profit in 2015, to UH 2.290 billion.

The mobile operator's revenue last year shrank by 0.6%, to UAH 10.027 billion.

Its Operating Income Before Depreciation and Amortization (OIBDA) fell by 12.3%, to UAH 4.113 billion, while its Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) grew from 39.7 to UAH 40.6.

Vodafone Ukraine's capital investment during the year was estimated at UAH 7.1 billion, including the price of its 3G license.

The operator's clientele expanded by 1%, to 20.4 million SIM card users.

Its net profit in the fourth quarter of 2015 alone was UAH 412 million, while in the same period of 2014 the company was in the red with net losses estimated at UAH 141 million. Its revenue grew by 5.4%, to UAH 2.405 billion. OIBDA in October-December 2015 fell by 8.1%, to UAH 885 million, while ARPU rose from UAH 34.8 to UAH 38.8.

As was reported, MTS Ukraine began to work under the Vodafone brand from autumn 2015.
