VAT refunds debt down UAH 9 bln in Jan-Oct – Fiscal Service

VAT refunds debts in Ukraine in January-October 2015 fell by UAH 9 billion, to UAH 23.9 billion, Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov said at a Cabinet briefing.

According to him, as of November 1 taxpayers had been repaid UAH 52.5 billion, and another UAH 12.6 billion will be paid out by the end of the year.

Nasirov stressed that in October the Fiscal Service exceeded tax collection to the general fund of the national budget by UAH 3.2 billion, taxpayers paid UAH 41.6 billion last month, and over the first ten months of the year UAH 383 billion was paid.

Nasirov said that the Finance Ministry's target for tax collection in May-October was exceeded by UAH 8.9 billion.

VAT revenues increased to a record volume: the average monthly VAT collection in August-October amounted to UAH 9 billion, whereas in January-May the figure was UAH 6.8 billion he said

Nasirov noted that the over-fulfillment of budget indicators was achieved at the expense of advance payments: according to live data, in May-October tax overpayment decreased by UAH 10.5 billion, in particular VAT - by UAH 1.5 billion.
