Chernihiv region business announces massive blocking of tax invoices
Entrepreneurs in Chernihiv region are claiming a groundless mass blocking of tax invoices; some businesses are on the verge of stopping due to the actions of the region's tax service.
"Our enterprises, and these are more than 530 enterprises in Chernihiv region, which suffered direct destruction from the fighting, reopened at our own expense, with our own capital... But, unfortunately, we had problems that began to interfere with our work, which began to interfere with the business community fulfilling its role in social stability, its role as taxpayers," President of the Chernihiv Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry Konstantin Ivanov said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.
According to him, the problem of blocking tax invoices arose in the autumn of 2023, and an attempt in December to resolve this issue to hold a meeting of more than 40 enterprises with the newly appointed head of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Chernihiv region, Yuriy Tverdokhlib, was thwarted due to the absence of this tax director.
According to information from the Chernihiv Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of small- and medium-sized businesses from various sectors of the region's economy, as well as public business organizations with the support of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, filed collective complaints to the Ministry of Economy, the chairman of the relevant parliamentary committee Danylo Hetmantsev, the State Tax Service and reported pressure on business from Tverdokhlib.
There are already examples where enterprises are forced to change their registration to another region.
"Our company has been a manufacturer of animal feed since 2014. Since 2019, the tax office has not accepted our manufacturer's table, so the company is included in the list of risky ones. In the explanation, among other things, the following was noted: "Prices for the company's products depend on the fatness and age of the animals..." Unfortunately, due to such outright nonsense, to continue our activities, we are forced to open a new enterprise in another region of Ukraine," Andriy Kostyrko, director of Eco Soy Product, said, giving an example.
To solve this problem and ensure the normal operation of business, conference participants demand a reform of the tax system and the introduction of personal responsibility for tax officials. If the demands are ignored, they say, they will act in accordance with the Ukrainian law on public speaking.
