NBU revokes forex transactions licenses from CTS, Sortis, Foyil, UFC Capital

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has revoked general licenses to conduct foreign exchange operations from Capital Trust Securities (CTS), Sortis, Foyil Securities New Europe (Foyil) and UFC Capital (all based in Kyiv), according to the NBU's website.

According to the report, the NBU made the relevant decision on July 13, 2015. The reason for revoking the licenses has not been specified.

Earlier, it was reported that Foyil Securities Inc. (the United States) in July 2014 sold its subsidiary, broker company Foyil Securities New Europe, to new owners. Under the terms of sale, Foyil Securities New Europe was renamed as AP Securities LLC, but the company HAD for some time continued to serve the customers of Foyil Capital Limited (Cyprus).

UFC was founded in 2003 and it provided services in the securities market under the UFC Capital brand.

Earlier this year, the company notified the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market that it was ceasing its activities, as a result the regulator annulled its licenses for brokerage and dealer activities.

Sortis investment company was founded in 2007. It is part of Sortis investment and financial group, which, in turn, offers a range of services in the field of finance and investment: corporate finance, brokerage services, securities portfolio management services, asset management, pension fund administration and custodian services.
