Exports in January exceed imports by $100 million – Fiscal Service

Exports of goods in January 2015 exceeded imports by $100 million, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine’s press service has said, with reference to customs statistics.

According to the service, in January exports of goods amounted to $3 billion, while imports - $2.9 billion.

The European Union amounted to 36% of total exports, imports - 38%. The CIS countries accounted for 16% of exports and 26% - imports.

The largest revenues from export duties on goods were received from exports of scrap metal and charge ingots - 56% of total revenues, live cattle - 24%, flax seeds - 14.5%.

The largest payments to the national budget from imports were provided by crude oil and petroleum products - 21.9%, coal and anthracite - 5.3%, cars and other motor vehicles - 4.3%, insecticides, rodenticides, fungicides, herbicides and disinfectants - 3.5%, citrus - 1.5%, coke and semi-coke - 1.3%, TV sets, video monitors and video projection units - 1%, and corn - 1%.
