Energomarket falls short by UAH 7.4 bln for electricity bought from energy supply companies in 2014

State enterprise Energomarket saw a shortfall of UAH 7.4 billion from energy supply companies operating under the regulated tariff for electricity bought by the company in 2014, which is 2.1 times or UAH 3.9 billion up on 2013.

This information was included in materials prepared by Energomarket for the final session of the general meeting of the wholesale electricity market participants, which took place on February 4, 2015.

Over 80% of the sum or around UAH 6 billion was not paid by five energy supply companies: Rehionalni Elektryzhni Merezhi state-run enterprise, DTEK Dniprooblenergo, Luhansk Energy Association, DTEK Donetskoblenergo and DTEK ENE Energovuhillia.

The total debt of all suppliers on the wholesale electricity market grew by UAH 6.7 billion in 2014, reaching UAH 22.098 billion as of January 1, 2015.
