"After growth in March, April brought a worsening of consumer confidence… The armed conflict in Donbas could not but affect consumer confidence. May people believe that this crisis is short-term and they are more optimistic for the development of the economy in the medium-term outlook," reads the press release of the company.

According to the press release, the propensity to consume in April did not change, with the index at 55.5.

The unemployment index did not change: 142.7 points.

"Along with the stabilization of the national currency exchange rate after the large devaluation, devaluation expectations sharply fell: the index was down by 18.1 points, to 123.9, the lowest since October 2013. This retained inflation expectations and the index grew by 1.1 points, to 175.4," reads the report.

According to the press release, in April 2014, Crimea was removed from the study. The data over the pervious periods were revised.
