Alcohol and cigarette producers and imports in Kyiv pay UAH 404.5 mln in excise duty in Jan-Oct

Some UAH 404.5 million in the form of the excise duty was paid to the national budget in January-October 2013, including over UAH 236 million from goods produced, the press service of the chief department of the Income and Tax Ministry in Kyiv reported on Monday, November 25.

The department said that almost UAH 46 million was paid from goods imported to the country, over UAH 108 million from a fee for the development of horticulture, viticulture and hop growing, along with revenues from the special fund of goods for which excise duties are paid.

"In November 2013 alone almost UAH 20 million in excise duty was sent to the budget," the department said.

The department said that in January-October 2013 730 million worth of excise labels were sold to producers and imports of alcohol and cigarettes.

As reported, referring to the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, the revenues of Ukraine's national budget in January-October 2013 amounted to UAH 278.6 billion, which is 1.9% higher than in January-October 2012.

In January-October 2013, the general and special funds of the national budget of Ukraine received UAH 278.6 billion. The general fund received UAH 241.4 billion, which is UAH 10.8 billion, or 4.7% more than in 2012.

In January-October VAT for a total of UAH 45.6 billion was refunded, which is 15.3% up compared to 2012. In particular, automatic VAT refunds amounted to UAH 19.7 billion.
