The Verkhovna Rada will on June 7 hear a government report on the execution of the state budget for 2013, Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Rybak has said.

"Next Friday we will hear a Ukrainian government report on the execution of the budget for 2013, and on this basis we will approve principles for the formation of the budget for 2014," he told reporters in Chernihiv on Friday.

"The government will work in June and July, and in September the Verkhovna Rada will consider the budget so that we can form the budget in November or early December," he said.

Rybak said that on June 12, Crimea would host a meeting of mayors of Ukrainian cities, which he plans to attend, along with ministers.

He said that the meeting participants would discuss, among other issues, the funding for local government agencies.

"I am a supporter of fiscal federalism and the decentralization of the management of the financial system. The president and I have the same views on this question: the funds should not be concentrated in Kyiv, they should be transferred to the local authorities," he said.
