Almost UAH 3 mln in national cashback credited to 177,000 Ukrainians in Diia – Svyrydenko

Funds under the National Cashback program were credited to 177,000 registered users in a total of UAH 2.9 million, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko said.

"Now banks are working to ensure that all buyers can see their cashback in the Diia application. To do this, they must set up data exchange with the program's IT system. Some banks have already completed this work, others are still testing. The setup will continue over the next few weeks," she said on Facebook on Monday.

She said it will be possible to receive money on the card for payments for purchases made in September until October 20.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said the number of users, manufacturers and goods is growing daily.

"The service is working stably. Some 1.2 million Ukrainians have joined the program, more than 638,000 of them have activated cards in Diia. Regarding manufacturers, there are also good results: 963 manufacturers and 171,000 goods have joined the national cashback program," he said in Telegram.

Svyrydenko also said stores have begun to mark goods for which you can get cashback: these include Aurora Multimarket, Epicenter K, COMFY, Kopilka and Tavria V. In the near future, Silpo and ATB-Market will begin to mark such goods.

"These marks can be seen directly on price tags or on shelves with goods. Now you can't make a mistake," she said.

According to Svyrydenko, several more retail chains have joined the project since Monday – Velyka Kyshenia and Velyka Kyshenia Express, Walmart, Antoshka, Budynok Ihrashok and others.

Fedorov said everything looks very simple for the user: you need to open a card online at the bank, select the National cashback card in Diia, after which it will be accrued monthly. At the same time, according to Fedorov, technically this is one of the most complex services due to the record amount of data exchange between various electronic systems – banks, manufacturers, retailers, information systems, tax authorities, the application and the Diia portal. "And most importantly, an anti-fraud system was set up for spending accumulated funds, so that only certain categories could be paid for: utilities, sports and other services," he said.
