Ukraine international and former Dynamo Kyiv player Andriy Yarmolenko has moved from Borussia Dortmund to West Ham United.

According to the official website of the English club, the contract with him was signed for four years. The amount of the transfer was not disclosed.

"I am very happy to sign for West Ham United. West Ham is a big club with good fans and I am happy to come to play in the Premier League. The Premier League is the best league in the world and I know that an interesting project is being built here at West Ham," the website quoted Yarmolenko as saying.

Director of Football Mario Husillos said that when the club had the opportunity to sign him, it "did not hesitate, because he really is the kind of player that we were looking for."

"He is 28, the prime age for football, and we have great expectation about what he can achieve with West Ham United," he added.

The Ukrainian footballer moved to Borussia Dortmund from Dynamo Kyiv in August 2017. He signed a four-year contract, and the German club paid EUR 25 million for him.

He played 26 matches for Borussia last season, scoring six goals and making six assists.
