Tel Aviv University has increased the number of scholarships for Ukrainian students and scholars, - the Embassy

Tel Aviv University is introducing an additional 20 master's scholarships for students and researchers from Ukraine. This was stated during the meeting of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk with the leadership of the university - President Prof. Ariel Porat and Vice President Prof. Milet Shamir, according to the Embassy's Facebook page.

«During the meeting of the ambassador with prof. Porat was agreed to launch an additional twenty master's scholarships in the humanities for Ukrainians for the next academic year. Also, it was agreed to start cooperation between Tel Aviv University and Kharkiv National University. Karazin, whose premises were completely destroyed by russian troops», - the statement said.

The Ambassador also met with Ukrainian students and scholars currently studying at Tel Aviv University and discussed prospects for expanding university cooperation between Ukraine and Israel.

«Since the beginning of russia's aggression in Ukraine, the university has supported our country in its quest to be a free and independent state. In particular, a special fund was created for Ukrainian students and scholars who were forced to leave their homeland due to russian hostilities. Currently, 17 students from Ukraine study at the university», - the Embassy notes.
