A large private equity fund with a potential size of more than $100 million was launched in October by Horizon Capital partner Kostiantyn Mahaletsky, Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection Serhiy Maslichenko, CEO of Arricano Real Estate Plc Mikhail Merkulov, as well as founders of SD Capital investment company Andriy Stavnitser and Filip Hrushko.

"The partners have joined forces to develop a new direction of "sustainable" and "green" investments. This is renewable energy, transport, logistics and construction," SD Capital told Forbes.

It is indicated that the businessmen intend to cooperate with international financial institutions, in particular the EBRD and the IFC, and also to attract money from private investors.

According to SD Capital, the fund will be partially financed by the co-founders themselves, including the Stavnitser family.
