Twenty-seven invaders suspected of sexual violence crimes in relation to 89 Ukrainians - chief of National Police Main Investigation Dept

Eighty-nine Ukrainians suffered from sexual violence committed during the war, the police of Ukraine notified 27 occupiers of suspicion of committing these crimes, the vast majority of suspicions are in absentia, First Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine, Head of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine Maksym Tsutskiridze has said.
"There are 77 cases of sexual violence committed during the war, with 89 victims involved. Some of the victims are in Ukraine, some have left, but they are cooperating with the investigation," the head of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
He noted that the results of solving these crimes are not one hundred percent, but the police notified 27 invaders of suspicion for these crimes. "The vast majority are suspicions in absentia," he added.
"Again, we do not know the real figures on sexual violence, just as we do not know how many people actually died in the occupied territories. But this crime belongs to the military and does not have a statute of limitations," the head of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police summed up.
