Emergency Service preliminary data: Five killed, 40 injured as result of Russia's missile attack on Ukraine

As of 08:45, five people were killed and 40 injured as a result of a missile attack in Ukraine on the morning of Tuesday, January 23, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has said in its Telegram channel.

Deaths were reported in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Thus, according to the State Emergency Service, several fires broke out in Kyiv as a result of a missile strike – in Sviatoshynsky, Solomiansky and Pechersky districts. One person was killed and there were civilian casualties. Two high-rise buildings, a private building, and cars were damaged.

In Bucha district of Kyiv region, two multi-storey buildings, a household, outbuildings and cars were damaged. Three people were injured. Rescuers are working on the spot.

As a result of the attack on Pavlohrad, one person was killed and one was injured.

In Kharkiv, the occupiers attacked two multi-storey buildings. According to preliminary data, three people were killed and about 30 more were injured.

"Rescuers are inspecting damaged buildings, clearing away rubble. Psychologists are working on the ground. Police investigators are carefully recording these crimes," the State Emergency Service said.
